Rhythmic Cells
Step 0
Create a new Sibelius project.
Step 1
In groups of 2-4, create rhythm cells using 2-note and 3-note groupings.
Include rests in your rhythm cells!
Step 2
Add pitches to these rhythms using a limited pitch set. Choose up to 5 notes to use in your pitch set.
Step 3
Expand your rhythmic pattern into a 30 second piece by:

Putting them into a certain order

Augmenting or diminishing the rhythms

Changing the length of rests between the patterns

Allocating different pitches from the same pitch set.
Step 4
Dovetail your rhythm cells so that they either come in at the end of each cell, or overlap.
Perform and record your composition, and upload to your EverNote as a video.
