What you do in the Viva
The Viva Voce is a friendly conversation about your score, the composition, and the original performance piece you did.
-
Compare your composition and the performance piece from Part 1.
-
Use the musical language collated throughout the course
-
Refer to your graphic score and what musical material is represented by it in each piece.
-
Refer to specific musical events in both the composition and original performance piece.

What to bring to the viva
Your graphic score, that's it!
You would have already submitted the composition recording, and you'll do the performance live.
Steps to Start
-
Make a copy of your score.
-
Listen to the recording of your composition, and mark down how you have treated the symbols and markings on your graphic score.
-
Compare the annotations between your original composition, and the performance piece.
Keep the original graphic score, as that one will be marked for your assessment.
